Situated north of Point Danger, Rainbow Bay is a favourite with families and holidaymakers, and it’s the gateway to Snapper Rocks.
This is the Gold Coast’s most popular surf beach and host location for the Quiksilver pro, a round of the World Surf League tour.
Rainbow Bay, more specifically Snapper Rocks has good point break barrels and is generally best on a south-easterly swell.
One of the best vantage points to watch the surf is from the Rainbow Bay Surf Life Saving Club. A perch on the balcony rewards you with views all along the point and towards Burleigh and Surfers Paradise in the distance.
